If the cow / buffalo is infected or dies due to zoonotic disease, the farmer gets compensation
Details

Compensation is being provided to the affected farmers in 201 upazilas of Bangladesh under the Veterinary Public Health Service Strengthening Project for the protection of public health. In particular, all farm cows or buffaloes that die of zoonotic disease, anthrax, and farm cows that have been shown to be infected with brucellosis, tuberculosis (TB), will be covered.
